General Questions

What is Brown Heritage Boutique?

Brown Heritage Boutique is an online jewelry boutique specializing in unique, colorful, jewelry and accessories made from wood and resin materials. Our mission is to empower women to confidently express themselves through our colorful, handcrafted accessories.

Do you offer pick-ups on Guam?

Yes, we do!

We offer meet-ups three days per week outside of Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB), in the Pass & ID Center parking lot. The Pass & ID Center is located right outside the main gate of the AAFB. You do not need base access and you do not need to go through security. Once you pull into the parking lot, I will meet you there. The exchange should take no longer than one minute unless you'd like to say hello. :)

Monday 1pm-6pm

Thursday 1pm-6pm

Sunday 3pm-6pm

Pick-up Communications:  

During checkout: choose the Pick-up option. This will notify us that you want to pick up your order.

Once your package is ready for pick-up, you will receive a Ready For Pick-up Confirmation email with further instructions.

Please note: The Ready For Pick-up Confirmation email is different than the Order Confirmation email. Your order will first be confirmed as purchased, then you will receive an additional email for pick-up.

Additional Notes:

It is important for a small business owner to keep a healthy work/life balance. For this reason, pick-up days and times are not flexible. If these times do not work for you, please choose the shipping option during check-out.

Do you participate in pop-ups events on Guam?

Yes!

Can I change my order?

Sure! However, we can only change orders that have not been processed for shipping.

Once your order is under the status "preparing for shipping", "shipping" or "delivered", we cannot accept any edits to your order.

To make changes to your order, please fill out our Contact Form or reply to your Purchase Confirmation email.

Do you have a physical store or showroom?

Currently, Brown Heritage Boutique operates exclusively online. You can shop our entire collection on our website from the comfort of your own home.

We do participate in occasional pop-up events. Please find out upcoming events list on the Pop-ups Page.

Jewelry Questions

Is your jewelry hypoallergenic?

We use high grade stainless steel on all earring posts and hooks. Although stainless steel is not hypoallergenic, we buy nickel free stainless steel, which is the typical reason for discomfort. 

Occasionally, in the Wooden Dangles Collection, we use brass metal for our pendants. Brass is hypoallergenic.

Resin and wood should have no reaction to the skin unless you have allergies to those products.

Do you offer custom orders?

Sorry, we do not offer custom orders. Our website will be updated often with new inventory.

How do I care for my jewelry?

Five Things to Avoid:

Please keep in mind that these products are handmade and should be handled with care. Pieces can be cleaned with a damp paper towel & dried immediately after.

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

You can purchase on our website using any major debit or credit card. We also accept payments through Paypal and ShopPay. You can choose these payment methods at checkout.

We do not accept cash at pick-ups. Orders must be paid in advance. However, we do accept cash at pop-ups.

Which currency will I be charged in?

Purchases will be charged in USD.

Returns Questions

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

For hygienic reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges.

What if my package is delivered damaged?

For items that arrive damaged, we offer store credit when contacted within 7 business days of arrival and receive proof of damaged merchandise. Shipping costs and taxes are non-refundable. Please fill out our Contact Form about any damaged items.

Please note: For items that arrive damaged and were purchased as discounted items, such as items purchased with a discount code, or clearance items will only be given store credit at the discounted rate.

Orders & shipping

How can I place an order?

Placing an order is easy! Simply browse our website, select the items you love, and add them to your cart. When you're ready, proceed to the checkout page, enter your shipping and payment information, and confirm your order.

Where do you ship to and from?

We offer international shipping.

We are located on the island of Guam, therefore, packages will ship from Guam.

How long does it take to process, then ship my order?

Processing:

Once you've placed your order, it can take approximately 1-3 business days to process for shipping. However, most orders ship out the next day.

Orders placed on days that new collections become available may take approximately 2-4 business days to process.

Pick-up orders are usually processed by the next business day. An email will be sent out once the order is ready and you can respond with the day you'd like to pick up your order. All pick-ups are at the Andersen Air Force Base Pass & ID Center.

Shipping with USPS:

Standard shipping time is approximately 1-2 business days on Guam and approximately 5-7 business days to the US.

Please confirm the exact amount of time it will take your package to arrive during check out.

How can I track my package?

After you have placed your order, we will send you a confirmation email.

Once your order is shipped we will send you another email to confirm the expected delivery date as well as the link to track your order (when the delivery method allows it).

You can use the tracking number on USPS website in their "Search and Track Packages" section (found on their home page) for additional information on your package's shipping status.

For any additional concerns once your package is shipped, please contact your local postal service.

What if my package is lost or stolen?

We're so sorry to hear that your package may be lost or stolen. Unfortunately, BHB is not responsible for any lost or stolen packages. Once we transfer a package to the shipping company, it is their responsibility to make sure it is delivered.

Be sure to utilize your tracking number on the USPS website to see where your package might be in the shipping process. For additional service, please contact your local postal service.

What are your shipping rates?

We offer flat rate shipping to both the US and within Guam, tracking included. Our packages are typically very light, therefore, shipping costs are mainly due to tracking.

Flat rate to US: $5

Flat rate within Guam: $4.50

Can I cancel or modify my order after it's been placed?

We understand that circumstances may change. Please contact our customer support team as soon as possible at hello@brownheritageboutique.com or by our contact form if you need to cancel or modify your order. We will do our best to accommodate your request if your order has not yet been processed.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, we do offer international shipping to many countries. During the checkout process, you can select your country to view available shipping options and costs.

Account Info

Do I have to create an account?

No, you don't have to create an account. However, we strongly recommend that you create an account so that you can take advantage of the various benefits it offers. For example, you will be able to access your account easily the next time you visit us, and you will also be able to get personalized recommendations and services tailored to your needs. By creating an account with us, you will be able to make the most out of our services and save time in the future.

Please note: Our Rewards and Referral Program which helps you earn and redeem discounts, requires an account.

How do I change my account password?

If you have forgotten your password, don't worry. You can easily reset it by clicking the 'forgot password' link. Once you click the link, you will receive an email with instructions on how to create a new password. Follow the instructions to set a new password that is secure and easy to remember. Remember to keep your password safe and never share it with anyone.
